My linux dose not connect to the internet, what should i do ?

I just installed PCLinuxOS and is not connecting to the internet, before i tried ubuntu but the same thing, no internet connection.


I connect trought a modem and in windows worked just fine, i would need some detailed explications becouse i am not familiar with linux.

Since you mentioned a modem, it's most likely a WinModem or software based one. Run the scanmodem utility.

1.Put your phone number where the key that is like this 00-00-00-00-00





2.It should work it worked for me.
