How do I load Win XP onto a computer that has Linux OS?

Purchased computer for son that has Linux OS installed. The computer is manufactured by Everex and they are calling the OS (gOS) which is Linus. Tech support will not help me or even tell me how to install Win XP OS onto the computer.

Put the disc in the CD ROM drive.

Reboot the computer.

Follow the prompts.
Reply:Tech Support for that PC will only support Linux.

First, you have to buy a copy of Windows XP, if you can find one. Microsoft does not sell XP anymore. You will most likely have to go with Vista. And unfortunately, that can run you as much as what you paid for the computer itself.

Once you get a copy of Windows, you will be able to put the Cd in the CD drive and reboot. The computer will ask you to press a key to boot from the CD. When the computer starts up, it will walk you through the install process. When it's done, Linux will be completely removed.

Ultimately it's up to you, but I would strongly suggest sticking with gOS. It's stable, supported by the manufacturer, and it's free.
