Is there a way to have a Linux email server and a Microsoft web server on the same machine?

I really like the Linux email server, but also want the simplicity of a Microsoft web server. If not, any suggestions? Cost is a factor. Its for a small office.

Absolutely...I have a setup similar to that.

Use VmWare Server:

It's free... It allows you to have 'virtual machines' which is great technology.

I have a server that I built and have Windows Server installed and it's hosting a website. I have a virtual machine that is running Linux. It's a machine in a machine.

The only thing to keep in mind is to get plenty of RAM. I wouldn't go under a Gig of RAM as a bare minimum.
Reply:There are several ways. Use one os as the host, and use a compatiblity layers for the other. The simplest way is to find a windows version of the email server if available, If not then install Cygwin (free linux compatibility for Windows) and compile and run the email server on Windows.

Reply:There has to be software on Download.com that would help you do that.
